If you are doing a solar project you should know a little bit about solar panels. Whether you are building a solar application yourself or having someone else build it for you it is a good idea to know a little bit about solar panels so you know you are using the right ones for your application.
If you are doing a small solar project for your own use, like to run a shop or something of that nature then you might want to consider purchasing used solar panels. These panels can often be found at great deals online. A quick search online reveals lots of sources of used solar panels. If you do not have very exacting needs for your solar panels then this is a great way to get the solar power you need for your project without spending as much money as you would on new panels.
One thing to keep in mind is that used panels usually work great but occasionally they do not work as well. So you may want to get them from a local source so that you can check the panel out for yourself and see if it is working before you purchase it. Larger cities have solar supply stores and will carry used solar equipment. These are good places to get an idea of what is available and to get some good advice on your project as well as the people who work there are typically experts in solar applications.
Next you may want to check the ratings of your solar panels if these are for home use. Remember when purchasing solar panels that not all are made for the same parts of the country.
